Nam Myoho Renge Kyo--I Claim Divine Order in My Life
                                 By ZARA ANGEL

Regardless of the difficulties of the trials you have been experiencing, remember to repeat the words, "Nam-myoho-renge-kyo".   This chant, revealed by the thirteenth century, Nichiren Daishonin, is said to be an _expression of a single principle or law through which you can unlock your hidden spiritual gifts, and achieve creative oneness with your environment.

Just chanting these sounds with faithful dedication can help to transform the difficulties you have been experiencing into happiness, positive feelings, and spiritual growth, and it will help to bring the angels closer to you, enabling them to assist you more.  Remember you are not alone, and whenever you call on God and the angels with sincerity, you will get help.

Through this phrase, you draw goodness, Divine Order, and imminent balance into you life.  Repeating these sounds again and again will change your life--giving you inner peace, a sense of order and the feeling of purpose that you have been longing for.

These sounds will also draw the loving attention of the angels, and will help you to receive the countless blessings that a relationship with the angels can bring.

In addition to "Nam-myoho-renge-kyo", it is also very powerful to state, "I claim Divine Order in my life".  Stated repeatedly, this phrase will help you to realize that despite any and all difficulties that you are in the middle of processing, Divine Order is here with you now.

You don't need to fix everything that is going on in your life.  When you claim Divine Order in your life, you begin to realize that your life is spiritually unfolding in the way that it should, and that everything will come out much better than you expected....

Everything will be ok.  All you need to do is  realize that God and the angels are already helping.  As you claim Divine Order in your life, you can relax a little more, and realize that all's well that ends well, and everything will end well--no matter how it currently seems.
Goodness and Peace will prevail.

                Blessings, ZARA ANGEL

I Communed With The Buddha

In about the summer of 2008, the Buddha came to me and shared his love and wisdom.
I wrote the following article to share this with you.  But first, here's an introduction...

In a very spiritual experience I had once, Buddha came to me unexpectedly one afternoon.  Astonished, I felt his presence a couple feet to my right, and as I adjusted to his being there, he explained that his teachings have been changed over time.   He said that his original teaching consisted of helping people let go of  attachment to OUTCOMES.

That word added at the end of what Buddhists have generally been taught makes all the difference.  Although not a Buddhist, I am very interested in the teachings of spiritual masters, and as such, my understanding has been that Buddha taught us that life is suffering, and in order to get out of the cycle of suffering we need to let go of attachments, period.

But after communing with Buddha, I realize that he did teach that getting rid of attachments would help, but that was not all.  He taught that getting rid of attachment to outcomes was the key.  The reason this would help was because over time, things are guaranteed to change.  When you realize this, even if things are not going according to plan in the present tense, hold on and don't worry.  Things will change.  You may even be able to affect some of the change you are looking for--especially if you manage to stay relax,  allow the energies of constant flux work in your favor, and realize that time is on your side.

The final word, Outcomes, which had been somehow left out of the teachings handed down, made all the difference.  I realized that since life is ephemeral, we can't really hold on to anything anyway, but as we let go of worrying about what we can't control, and realize that it's all in flux anyway--we can calm ourselves and recognize that everything really is in Divine Order...

Discovering Happiness

         By ZARA ANGEL

As a child, I remember sitting at my school desk one afternoon, realizing that I had come to earth for a special reason I had agreed to before birth. Knowing that my special task involved both serving God and helping people with their lives, I felt determined to make the most of my life by studying hard, paying attention, and learning about God. “Paying attention” meant that since I knew I would have Divine Guidance to learn more about my mission, I would need to make myself open to receive this guidance. This meant that I needed to learn to meditate.

Fortunately, my mother was interested in yoga and meditation, and she taught me much of what she knew. The teachings she shared with me, conscious breathing (pranayama), yoga postures (asanas), a form of meditation called savasana, gave me a good start.

Eventually, as a young adult, I followed the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, (the first Indian swami who brought yogic teachings to this country and stayed here for a prolonged period of time), and after meditating with his techniques for 17 years, I experienced my first taste of Cosmic Consciousness bringing me direct awareness of the Divine.

After this happened, rather than the completely smooth path I somehow expected, life became more challenging than ever before. Things I had previously been oblivious to suddenly showed up as obvious areas that needed “adjustment”. Certain people posing as friends who were really not, needed to be let go of, and I needed to break free and reinvent my life. Doing so required that I travel through unfamiliar territory without a map or anyone to guide me. But though I did not have anyone to guide me here on earth, I did have help from God and the Angels and they helped guide me through meditation, dreams, and visions.

I also started to use the affirmation, “I claim Divine Order in my Life”. When first affirming this mantra, I really didn’t know where it would take me, but I started affirming anyway. Somewhere in the middle of the affirmation I got it. I suddenly realized not only what the affirmation truly meant, but also that I knew it all along. I had simply forgotten…

What I discovered was that everything in my life is and always has been in Divine Order. The difference was that I now consciously understood it, and in that understanding, I started to experience deep Inner Peace. The Inner Peace came from the realization that everything in my life is in the NOW, and everything is working out into exactly the way it needs to. I learned that in order to reap the benefits, I needed to give up resistance, and allow the blessings to flow.

And the blessings did flow. In fact, many personal “problems” that seemed impossible for many years were resolved. Although not every outcome was as I desired, I noticed that many of the negative emotions that had nagged at me before then miraculously disappeared.

Although I use the term “miraculously”, many of the changes that occurred were actually due to my own efforts. In fact, among other things, claiming Divine Order helped me to develop such Inner Peace that I finally found the strength and courage to face several issues and people that I had previously been avoiding, and decided to go ahead and metaphorically “take the bull by the horns”, face my fears, and deal with each and every situation that had previously caused me grief.

Surprisingly, although some of the outcomes were not what I wanted, the act of facing my fears through definitive action was all that was needed for emotional resolution. In other words, I had the power inside me all along, but for a long time, I didn’t realize it. Just as in the story of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz who always had the power to solve her problems, but didn’t know how to access her power, so had to travel along the yellow brick road until she discovered the truth inside her, I had the power as well. I just needed to realize it.

What I learned was that procrastination about effectively dealing with issues brings continued unhappiness, whereas intelligently facing issues head-on with courage, conviction and truthful determination allows one to develop greater, self-respect, integrity and Inner Peace. I learned this as a universal truth that applies to everyone, and that many problems people face can be solved through the act of facing their fears while concurrently letting go of attachment to outcomes.

I came to the understanding that letting go of attachments is an important aspect of finding happiness from an experience I had this year with the Buddha. Not being a Buddhist, I was very surprised when I felt his presence with me earlier this year. As I stood in front of the desk in my bedroom, just getting ready to straighten up some paperwork on the desk, I suddenly became aware that he was standing next to me, and that he wanted to tell me something, so I listened.

“Give up attachment” he said.

To this I replied, “I’ve heard that before and I’ve already tried that, and haven’t been successful. I am very attached to my children, my friends, my way of life, my health, etc.”

He said, “Give up attachment…specifically to OUTCOMES. Give up attachment to outcomes, then you will see.”

These words instantly gave me a new understanding and offered me a significant paradigm shift. I realized he was right. The concept of giving up attachment specifically to outcomes was the part of the formula that had previously remained obscure in my mind, but was now clear.

My next step in the process was to apply this new concept in my life, and find out what would happen next. What I learned was an amazingly simple and logical truth: The one thing we can count on life is that everything is always in a state of flux. That means that whether things are to our liking, or not, it’s always guaranteed to change. So, when things are wonderful, you can enjoy this, but don’t be surprised when changes occur, because they will... And on the other hand, when things are not to your liking, those things will change as well.

What I’ve realized from this is that outcomes do not necessarily determine success and happiness. In fact, early on, when I was still avoiding issues I did so because I was attached to the outcomes, and was afraid that what I wanted might not happen.

The surprising truth I discovered was that even though several outcomes definitely did not go my way, the act of facing my fears regardless of outcomes, resulted in much greater states of inner peace and happiness. I came to realize that things that seem bad are just temporary and may lead to something good.

What I now understand is that by transcending attachment to outcomes, one can see and joyfully experience the perpetual truth that NOW, THIS VERY MOMENT, EVERYTHING TRULY IS IN DIVINE ORDER, and there is no reason ever to become attached to specific outcomes.

The beauty of not being attached to outcomes is that no matter what, things keep changing, so there is no reason to be attached to the way things are at the moment. For instance, one may lose a job, and then get a better one that he or she would never have gotten if their other job had not gone away. Also, one may involuntarily lose a relationship, and as a result, may get into a much happier relationship, which, if the old relationship hadn’t ended, they would probably have missed.

When we lose something we want, we typically become sad or depressed because we imagine that our happiness is either gone or at risk, but the truth is, everyone can remember times in their past when they lost something that temporarily made them sad, and yet because of later events, the sadness went away, and their happiness came back.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to skip the steps of sadness and depression, and instead choose happiness immediately? Can you imagine being so spiritually present as to realize that whatever has changed for the worse could simply be a precursor for something better coming along shortly? That is a very optimistic approach to life, and one that makes sense—because everything is constantly changing, and there is no reason to get attached to the way things are now. THEY MAY GET BETTER!

The fact that each of us can remember times when our happiness turned to sadness, and then later, our sadness turned to happiness, and on and on into the ever-changing NOW offers an important link in understanding the key to spiritual presence and happiness in life. That is, there is no reason to get attached to whatever is happening in the moment, because it’s always changing anyway.

Yes, there are big, important things that happen that can be and are very upsetting. But even those things will change as time goes by. If we realize that fact fully, life becomes much easier, and we come to realize that happiness is a choice, and each of us has the ability, this very moment, to choose happiness.

CHOOSE HAPPINESS NOW!!!

“When I first started working with ZARA, several years ago, I did not even believe in Angels. I contacted ZARA because she was an advertiser in The Higher Source which I had just purchased. In addition to changing, perhaps saving my life, my work with ZARA has changed my entire spiritual paradigm.”

Hello Friends!

In the path I have traveled in life, I have discovered that the most important things I have are my Self and my Integrity.  And I believe that is true for everyone.

Ultimately, when we pass from this earth, that's all any of us have--our Selves and who we are.  By who we are, I mean that from God's and the angels' points of view, we are here to be kind, to find truth and stand up for it, and to learn all that we can while we are here.  And in the end, how well we have done those things is all that really counts.

This is the reason that being mindful of one's spiritual integrity is so important for each of us.

Spiritual Integrity for
Incarnated Angels

                   By ZARA ANGEL

Spiritual Integrity consists of searching for Truth, willingness to recognize truth when it presents itself to you in its various aspects, and genuinely living Truth to the best of your ability, regardless of the opinions of others. In this way, whether you join a spiritual organization or not, you retain your individuality, and your ability and willingness to think.

As I mention “willingness to think”, you may wonder what I mean. “After all”, you may say, “everybody thinks”. But unfortunately, as history has shown, this is not the case. Numerous people give up active thinking when faced with church membership, or membership in any group that has an agenda. They sometimes swallow the belief system whole rather than examining and questioning the parts, and without realizing it, they get locked into conformity rather than retaining the responsibility of thinking for themselves. They still call it “thinking” but that is a misnomer. When people unquestionably accept unexamined tenets, they are not thinking. They are conforming.

Why do people conform? The pressure to conform is a strong motivating factor, and it is common for people to begin their sentences with the words, “I think….” when what they actually mean is, “I conform…” or, “I have been told…”.

Conforming means accepting and copying other’s thoughts and actions often without close scrutiny. Accepting and copying without scrutinizing does not require thinking. It is easy and does not require much effort, but the results can be devastating. Because it is easy to conform, and thinking takes effort, many people conform and call it thinking because they are unwilling to make the effort to think, and they often do not recognize the difference.

The dictionary definition of the word think is: to employ one’s mind rationally and objectively in evaluating or dealing with a given situation.

With this definition in mind, clearly, you cannot simply conform to others’ opinions without due deliberation, and accurately call this thinking. Anything short of careful consideration and deliberation before making decisions is mere conformity, and does not deserve the word “think” attached to it.

For instance, as a member of an organization that you agreed with at one time, after careful consideration, you may change your mind about some of the basic tenets. You always have the right to rethink, and to possibly change directions. When this happens, in order to stay in spiritual integrity, you need to follow your inner truth.

An example of this was when I decided to become much less active in a spiritual organization I had been involved in for over twenty years. My decision came as a result of inner realizations that surprised me.

While the espoused goal of the spiritual organization was to reach a certain level of consciousness, I noticed that no one I knew claimed to achieve this state. This bothered me, because when I reached that state, and I tried to share, my words were met with silence rather than acceptance. I found this disconcerting because it seemed obvious that if the group believed people could reach that level of consciousness through meditation, they ought to believe that it was possible. Instead they seemed to feel threatened and disbelieving. The feeling I got from them caused me to feel the need to separate, and ultimately led me on a personal journey that brought me into my own individual path which tested my spiritual integrity. While I still honored my spiritual teacher, and fully intended to follow the teachings, my path became strikingly independent.

The change was not so much a choice as it was the natural result of many years of meditation, for, as I opened up spiritually, my personal path called me. My inner peace, developed from many years of meditation, made me certain. It told me that this was the time to make a change, and whatever I learned along the way, I would share with others.

Simultaneously going through many major changes in my life, it was a tumultuous time for me. Some relationships disappeared. New relationships developed. Regardless of others’ opinions, or earlier beliefs of my own, spiritual integrity called me to make many radical changes very quickly. Eventually things smoothed out, and I found that my purpose in life felt more intact than ever before.

Along the spiritual path, many true seekers come into circumstances in which they are forced to prove their mettle. This individual testing seems to be a required step after a certain point. For instance, your inner guidance may lead you to make an uncomfortable change in your life, and as you meditate and look within, you will be helped to make the right decision. When you know what the right thing is, do it. In this way you will be standing for the Truth you know within.

When this happens to you, if you simply understand that you are being tested as to whether you are willing to recognize and stand for the Truth you find, eventually your circumstances will get easier, and you will find that you are living your higher purpose.

It's Important to Stand for What You Believe

Hello Everyone!

In my practice of Angel Readings and Spiritual Counseling, I come across many kind and wonderful souls who are perplexed about incongruities relating to everything from personal family life and business life to the raging inane policies of government. They are not only perplexed about what is going on, they are also perplexed as to what to do about it--even on the basic level.

My spiritually based contention is that many of the people who come to me for Readings, Counseling and Guidance are here for a special purpose, and my role is to help them find their way into expressing and living that purpose. Along the path to discovering and being what they came to earth to be, they frequently come across certain obstacles which need to be addressed.

The following article addresses some of those obstacles and includes a couple of tips to suggest how you can handle it when this happens in your life.

                                             Finding Purpose
                                                     by ZARA ANGEL

Getting in touch with who you really are and what life is really about can be fun, but sometimes it is grueling. Just when you think you have found the perfect formula for finding peace within and staying in it, sometimes you suddenly experience what seems like a complete turn-around. You find yourself doing or saying something that even you cannot understand, much less explain to others. But often, even at these moments, you are spiritually guided more than you realize.

But what is it all about anyway? Being guided by your true inner voice does not always mean being completely peaceful. Sometimes you need to stand up for yourself, and for what you know is right, and this can entail facing opposition, conflict and grief. Yet many of us who are spiritual in nature do not like conflict, and many of us have been conditioned to try keeping the peace no matter what the cost. But peacefully going along with authority is not always the right thing to do. Sometimes when things are upside down, topsy-turvy and counter to human decency, it is time to make waves.

At such times you need to stand up for what you know in your heart is right, even when it’s not convenient. Then you will know you really are on the path. For example, when you have said or done something that you deeply believe but for which you cannot find much support, and those who do not see eye to eye with you are in the process of belittling, harassing and dominating you, and you may remember dozens of times when you tried to speak with people like that in a civil way, but it just didn't work, it is an amazingly good time for a simple retort such as "Go take a long walk on a short pier", or "Bite me!"

In our present society where swear words are incredibly common, you might wonder why I would even imagine that such innocuous sayings such as those above would have any impact at all. Yet when you stop to think about it, since you rarely if ever talk this way, the moment you turn around and tell the unkind perpetrator where to go and/or snap at them, they are shocked. They are so used to our being total and complete pushovers, it throws them off-guard when we suddenly and surprisingly stick up for ourselves.

But what does all this do with finding our purpose in life? EVERYTHING!!! As is written in the book of Ecclesiastes: "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace."

Sometimes doing the right thing does not feel comfortable, nor does it always make you look good to others. Yet our true purpose is pleasing God and the Angels, not simply pleasing the narrow opinions of those who happen to be in our proximity at the time...
